First day of Fall 2004 Quarter

I'm officially back in school. I had four classes today and it was pretty hectic. I also saw a bunch of friends and old classmates. Most of my teachers are pretty lively. One of my them is Dr. Applegate, she's very funny and she also works as a nutrition/fitness consultant for the Sacramento Kings as well as the Oakland Raiders. THAT, I think is really cool. I changed my mind about that class I'm trying to add. I'll just wait 'til next quarter to take it. I don't want to overload myself and end up with crappy grades.

On a different story, E is out of town again. He'll be home tomorrow night when I'm working late. That seems to be the story of our life. I don't get to see him anymore and that really stinks. I'm glad I have school to keep me busy.

End of Summer Vacation

Today is my last day of summer vacation. I'm going back to school tomorrow. Yay! I know, I'm a dork but I like school. I'm still waitlisted on one class and I hope to God that the professor let me add. Please, please, please.

Note to self: three months summer vacation is just too long. Must take summer classes next year.

Back to school grief

My excitement of going back to school has been dampened by the prices of my books and the parking permit. :( I actually get to borrow most of my books from friends but I still had to shell out about $250 for some lecture packets I can't borrow because they update those darn things every quarter. Sigh.

And the parking permit is $121 per quarter! Good grief! I went to the parking office to my buy the permit and there was this girl/receptionist who explains the different types of permits, the prices, etc. The Pinay that I am, I tried to tawad (haggle) because I'm only in school half day in most days. I guess I'm not very convincing because that didn't work and I had to pay the full price. Arrgghhh! Such blatant price gouging.

Commuters like me are getting ripped off because UCD operates its own bus system. All undergraduates ride for free because the fee is already factored in our tuition. So, I'm technically double paying because I already paid for the bus that I will never ride (when I paid my tuition) and I still have to pay for parking. If they would only extend their bus route all the way to where I live, then I'll gladly ride the bus. But nope, that would be too convenient and they have to gouge money from students somehow. Kainis.

Fall decor on the mantel Posted by Hello

home made Fall wreath Posted by Hello

Fall Decorating

I went to the store today and bought some Fall decorations. I was feeling crafty so, I made my own wreath. I also dressed up the mantel a little. I already spent more than I should and I'm still not done. E is going to kick my butt for spending way too much. Take a look at the pictures.

My third move

This is my third move. Tripod was a pain in the neck to update, so here I am. Here's the link to my blog at Tripod, http://heel-duh.tripod.com/blog. I'm not retiring that one just yet, in case blogspot proved to be problematic too. Unfortunately, my very first blog is forever lost in oblivion and there's no linking there anymore.
